WORKING AT LIGHTNING
Why work at Lightning?
Lightning’s vision is to drive the transformation of commercial fleets from internal combustion engines to zero emission vehicles (ZEV). While many auto companies are entering the personal electric vehicle market, we choose to focus on vehicle types that support both moving people, such as school buses, ambulances, and shuttle vans, as well as conducting commerce like delivery trucks and delivery vans.
Lightning is proud to offer solutions that have a direct impact on reducing the effects of climate change, and working here gives us the ability to merge our passion for the environment and our communities with our love of vehicles. We’re unapologetically car-people who also love the earth!
As a mature start-up, we can offer you growth opportunities, solutions to find, challenges to help us overcome, and questions to ask! This means that we are always ready to adapt and ask, “why not” instead of saying we “cannot”.
"The best part of working at Lightning is the co-workers. From the start, I’ve felt like part of the family."
"A job at Lightning Systems is a job I can feel good about. Loving cars and loving nature doesn’t have to be contradictory when working at a car company focused on using renewable energy."
"Hands down, the best part of being here is being a part of the team. I think we have a great dynamic and work really well together. We have a lot of fun around here, but get things done."
"One of the things I appreciate the most is that the company mission aligns with my personal values around clean energy, public health, and climate change."
